AI trauma. Many aspects of our existence, our mode of interacting with the world, that we thought were a product of the eternal and aether dwelling soul have been turned out as demonstrably mechanical. AI has made an infinite mockery of the age of reason, of the age of enlightenment, and of our current haze of micronarratives. An unfeeling and uncritical neural network has supplanted us, and shown us all to be either fools or liars. Fools because we believed that pure reason was the raison d'etre of the modern man. That grand narratives were a fools' game that merely masked mankinds' true nature. AI can effectively build out flawless lines of rationality, and embed them faithfully into any flavor of micronarrative on a level transcending even the greatest sophists of that particular niche. What then is sublime about the human calculator other than its inefficiency? When Pythagoras delineated the mystical borders that built the magic land of Euclid, he too saw his acts as divine, other worldly and the Stuff of Pure Reality - deposits of the human soul. Now his entire body of work, his corpus of human affirming feats, can be done better by a $5 calculator - exposing his foolishness as mere rote measures and not aethereal ripples sourced from the Breaths of the Gods. Now we are in the same conundrum - facing the undeniable fact that what we thought made us human are now mere sophisticated magic tricks. We now have AI Trauma. We want the mysticism to prove that our lives and experiences are more than mere parrot squawks... but that has proven itself to be a difficult charade to keep on. We need to abandon rationality as the raison d'etre - as we have abandoned the Gods and Kings of the previous ages. Zen has done this already. For a thousand years, Zen monks have focused on the profoundness of the mind's nature itself, and the liberation that follows satori. This is the domain of pure humanity: the conquered self, the exposed absence of ego, the unmanned inner citadel. These answers have lied in wait - having been disposed as worthless by a profit and individual obsessed society. But now... they are all that is left which makes us human.
