In other news, I have to update you brave souls on the recent happenings in Waterdeep. It is dreadful! An army of Duergars from the Spine of the World in the North have descended upon the city. With the magician guilds weakened by a continuously diminishing weave, and a bitter fued between the Tradition Society and the several merchant lords of Waterdeep have left the city ill prepared to weather a siege. Currently the entrances to the city are sealed and ships are being refused harbor. Also, I regret to inform you my former master and the old man you helped bring back from sickness has passed.

I also have some updates on my ongoing research. I have confirmed that an artifact known as Cyric's Dagger (called Azrok's dagger by its current owner) is necessary in repairing the weave. Wielding it will reveal the exact location of the "knot" that is weakening the magical properties of the weave. We need a tool to fix it, and I am currently making progress on identifying such a tool... perhaps an aetheral comb!

I have also uncovered the works of a sage named "Droon". This character has actually appeared many times in the countless works I have poured my attention over. The curious thing is that she appears in works spanning across thousands of years. Whenever this figure appears, she seeks to sever the weaves power from the material plane. I don't know much about her other than she appears to be mad, and takes the form of a dwarf. I'd also wager a bet that she is immortal. All this to say - I believe I've found the culprit of this entire Weave mess!
